PERAN DOMPERIDON UNTUK INSUFFICIENT MILK SUPPLY: ANALISIS LITERATUR MENGENAI EFEKTIVITAS, DOSIS, DAN KEAMANAN

Insufficient milk supply atau lactation insufficiency merupakan salah satu hambatan utama keberhasilan menyusui. Domperidon, antagonis dopamin D₂, digunakan sebagai galaktagog untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI. Tinjauan literatur ini mengevaluasi efektivitas, dosis, dan keamanan domperidon pada ibu dengan insufficient milk supply. Literatur di PubMed, Google Scholar, dan Cochrane Library dalam 5–10 tahun terakhir ditinjau menggunakan kata kunci “domperidone”, “insufficient milk supply”, “galactagogue”, “lactation”, “dose-response”, dan “safety”. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan domperidon secara signifikan meningkatkan volume ASI pada ibu premature dibanding plasebo atau metoklopramid. Dosis yang umum digunakan adalah 10 mg tiga kali sehari (30 mg/hari), dengan peningkatan volume ASI yang tidak selalu linear pada dosis lebih tinggi. Efek samping ringan seperti sakit kepala, mulut kering, dan peningkatan berat badan cukup sering dilaporkan. Variasi respons individu dan potensi risiko kardiovaskular jangka panjang menuntut pengawasan profesional dan pedoman dosis yang jelas. Domperidon efektif meningkatkan produksi ASI pada ibu dengan insufficient milk supply. Penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk memastikan keamanan jangka panjang, optimalisasi dosis, dan pedoman praktik menyusui langsung.
